Yellow Class

Fire! Fire!

The Spring Term started with a bit of excitement, the local firefighters came rushing through the door during an assembly ask where the fire was.  Once the children had recovered from the excitement, the firefighters calmly explained that this terms topic was going to be Fire! Fire!

The children had a fantastic time learning fire safety.  They had a go at squirting the hose and they even had a chance to go into the fire engine.

TURRETS AND TIARAS

What a fantastic term Yellow Class are having so far!  The children have really enjoyed the topic of Turrets and Tiaras.

They have learnt a lot about Medieval Castles, the Lords and Ladies which lived in the castles, Knights and weaponry.    The children have been excited to learn that castle was once in our very own village, where they can see how it was made and the names of the Lord which once resided there. 

Not only have they enjoyed learning the history of Medieval Castles, the children have also been very artistic.  They have used the work of Mondrian to create their own castles.  

Within Science the children have been finding out about animals, including humans.  They have been finding out about how the human body works and categorising animals.

The children are now very excited to be visiting Forest School this term.
